燃料电池(FuelCell)是一种将存在于燃料与氧化剂中的化学能直接转化为电能的发电装置。60年代,这种电池成功地应用于阿波罗(Appollo)登月飞船。燃料电池作为低排放无污染的绿色能源转换装置,在便携式电器、汽车动力、不间断供电和作为发电站等方面都有较好的应用前景。在各类燃料电池中,聚合物电解质燃料电池(PEMFC)由于其在电动汽车上诱人的应用前景而受到广泛关注,是目前新能源汽车最热门的研究课题之一。目前已有使用PEMFC作为动力的电动车问世,但是其市场销售受限于其价格,主要是贵重金属催化剂和全氟磺酸膜材料的价格。大多数低温PEMFC的缺点可以靠提高运行温度或者使用碱性电解质来克服。目前,高温聚合物电解质燃料电池(HT-PEMFC)和阴离子交换膜燃料电池(AEMFC)是燃料电池研究中的两个热门话题。该讲座将主要介绍这两种燃料电池的最新研究进展和发展趋势。

胡进博士简介

胡进博士毕业于中科院北京凝聚态物理国家实验室,博士期间从事锂离子电池方面的研究。之后到意大利比萨大学做博后,并开始燃料电池方面的研究。目前,胡进博士在位于Oldenburg的EWE-Forschungszentrum für Energietechnologie e. V. (NEXT ENERGY)从事燃料电池,主要是HT-PEMFC和AEMFC方面的研究。胡博士已发表学术论文10余篇,并拥有已授权专利6项、未授权专利3项。

About the topic:

Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) are efficient devices that generate electric power via chemical reaction of fuels and oxygen and therefore have been attracting more and more attention as a clean energy system. However, for PEMFC, it has the disadvantage of the cost of materials (namely the noble metal catalysts and the perfluorosulfonic membrane) and the cost of the affiliated system which are presently higher with respect to conventional energy conversion systems. Most of the shortcomings associated with the low-temperature PEMFC technology can be partly solved or avoided either by increasing the operation temperature to high temperatures range (100 – 200 °C) or working in an alkaline electrolyte. Recently, the high temperature PEMFC and anion exchange membrane fuel cells (AEMFC) are the two hot topics that attract much research interests. This lecture reviews the recent research developments and tendency for HT-PEMFC and AEMFC.

About Dr.Hu:

Dr. Hu’s doctoral research at the Beijing National Laboratory of Condensed Matte Physics (BNLCP), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), focused on the carbon spheres and transition metal oxides with nano-structure, used as anode materials for the Lithium-ion battery. During his PhD studying, he generated 7 academic papers and three China patents have been authorized based on his research work on the nano-structured materials as the anode for Lithium-ion battery. His doctoral research work was overviewed and highlighted in Advanced Materials (Vol.21,2009, 4593).

During his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pisa, Italy, Dr. Hu change his research directions to the ordered mesoporous carbon support and polymer electrolyte membranes for intermediate direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC).

Currently, Dr. Hu is a research scientist & project coordinator in the Fuel Cell Division, EWE-Forschungszentrum für Energietechnologie e. V. (NEXT ENERGY) in Oldenburg.  He started his duties in February 2008. In NEXT ENERGY, he is responsible for the research projects, include the electrolyte and polymer electrolyte membranes for high temperature PEMFC and the non-precious metal catalyst materials for PEMFC and AMFC application.

Until now, Dr. Hu published 10 academic papers in reputable journals. He holds 6 authorized patents (1 international patent and 5 Chinese patents) and 3 international patents are being pended. Dr. Hu is a member of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) an active member of the American Electrochemical Society (ECS).

邓志新博士简介

邓志新博士毕业于海南大学热带农业专业,曾在恒太芒果集团下属芒果种植场担任副场长。而后获得德国DAAD全额奖学金赴德留学。先后在科隆应用技术大学获得硕士学位并在波恩大学农业经济所完成博士学位。于2008年4月回到中国北京在TFT中国区工作。因为工作出色,2009年升任TFT中国区经理,负责中国区的全面工作。
